Automotive Electrician / Technician

THE ROLE 

The automotive electrician is a specialised team member of the workshop responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and diagnosing electrical systems and components.

THE JOB. 

  • Install, repair, diagnose and test electrical components and systems.
  • Perform maintenance and service on electrical devices.
  • Install, replace, and repair wiring circuits.
  • Perform diagnostic tests in establishing faults and repair methods.
  • Test and replace batteries, as well as diagnose and fix charging system issues.
  • Report and give feedback to the service centre on pending and finalised jobs.
  • Adhere to the occupational health and safety procedures and standards established by the Company.
  • Maintain workshop tools and keep work bay clean and hazard free.
  • Assist the workshop in performing mechanical repairs.

YOU. 

  • In possession of an Automotive Electrician Certificate or Qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within the industry and role.
  • Strong Knowledge of automotive electrical modules, systems and components.
  • Proficient in using diagnostics tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated and hardworking
